"getting a new car....."

Hi! there, Noname,

If you've got a new car, you won't have such problems, as it's covered by warranty.

It's difficult to understand, how changing driveshafts can lead to this steering problem. Unless installation was done wrongly.shakehead.gif

Are your brake drums worn out?crazy.gif

Hi Paul,

Can i ask you why is it that sometimes when a car turns either to the left or right, there's a screeching sound? I've often heard it from other cars on the road.

Cheers.

"I've often heard it from other cars"

Hi! there, Michel,

So, it's not from yours or friends car?

You have to know where the sound is coming from. It seems to be from the fan-belt, from your description. Are the cars new? as in do they have a single aux-belt that drives the steering, alternator, a/c.

There's also noise from the bearings of a/c compressor, alternator, that's not very common. It's not identified immediately, most of the time. Damage will be very severe, costing quite alot, as much as a new part.

Hi Paul,

Sorry to give you a general description. I guess it's not easy to troubleshoot if there's one. Anyway, it's not from mine or my friend's car.

Thanks anyway. [thumbsup]
