Watwheels Supersonic March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 (edited) Who's a mechanic here? Go to a workshop and find out lah. Even a mechanic cannot give an answer just by reading your problem online. Edited March 5, 2012 by Watwheels

Keithchue 5th Gear March 5, 2012 Author Share March 5, 2012 think more accurate, is that the engine have to overcome friction, harder to rev now... maybe EO dirty?

Happily1986 5th Gear March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 think more accurate, is that the engine have to overcome friction, harder to rev now... maybe EO dirty? yalah. rubber band effect means you step harder on pedal, tachometer needle goes up instantly but speedo needle doesn't respond with equal vigor as if it is being burdened with a rubber band effect. correct? how old is your current EO? when was last change? engine oil viscosity you used? Nooby Clutched March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 OMG! Serious ah. Sianz half alr. but it will only happen when I am parking. I half clutch or change to neutral (without stepping on accelerator) my rpm will go up till 2 then thereafter slowly idle. When I am moving off from traffic light or whatsoever it wont happen. 2nd Qn - you going to park, the car haven fully stop, but you already engage your rev gear (then the gear sound come out). 2-3 times wont spoil your gearbox etc right? I believe the Driving Instructor did not teach you this method/technique. You just described how to damage the gearbox/clutch. ↡ Advertisement
