Hamburger Hypersonic March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 Quality is getting from bad to worse (less meat and just potatos) plus more expensive. I prefer the puffs in the hawker centre located opposite Marine Parade Shopping Center. and its the corner stall........ ,yup, the curry powder is really fragrant
SimonTan 2nd Gear March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 (edited) I cannot imagine how many cockroaches we consume in such process food without knowledge. This curry puff discovery is just a lucky and coincidental discovery. What if the cockroach is hidden behind a onion slice, anyone would have bite and swallow without knowing. So is the contamination widespread and common? No one knows. Will you start dissecting your Nogh-Hiang and PoPia and curry puff from now onwards before you bite into one? Ignorance is bliss. Kelloggs 1st Gear March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 Buy this week's 8 days. Inside the Foodie section, they are featuring an ATB selling Argentine pastry, outside looks like puff but its baked and not deep fried. Inside has chicken, spicy beef and other flavors. Its call Empanadas. think its sold for same price as curry puff $1.30 she should put curry puff fillings inside it and it will be a healthier choice Her stall is at Tanglin Halt food centre. These FT are innovative i must say. in 20 years time, i bet 95% of our hawkers will be AT/ATB. Get ready for oily soup ! Can you believe I found something very very similar to curry puffs in Brazil but in triangular shape (like samosa)?? You think the Portuguese copied that from the Malays or vice versa? Achtung 6th Gear March 5, 2012 Share March 5, 2012 Yes, and that old man frying it. Memories bro. anyway I prefer AMK's Tip Top. Customer service recovery doesn't look good. I still remember the old days when I love to visit the old Rex theatre where I can choose from 3 curry puff stalls (OCK was one of them). http://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/singaporesc...-234710682.html

Nowaday seldom eat their curry puff, original taste is gone It was 30c in 1982. There were 3 stalls of curry puff at Rex. Cameron, Salera and Rex. The most popular was Cameron, usually sold out by 3pm. Then I will go for Selera. If Selera also sold out, then I rather not eat. 😂😂 Shows you that making good curry puff and having good business strategy does not necessarily goes hand-in-hand. Today, Cameron is no more but I will still make a detour via Mackenzie to buy Selera if I am around there. ↡ Advertisement
