Wyvern 1st Gear March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 Hi guys, I need some help / advise here. Recently my ride suffered a dent from a high dropping ball, causing a ball print dent on my bonnet. Really aches my heart seeing the ball print there. Anyone have any good recommendation for service to restore or repair the dent..? Many thanks... ↡ Advertisement
Trafficwatch Clutched March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 I only trust PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) as he was the Pioneer for PDR since early 90 till date & he was well trained in USA. Location: VICOM @ SIn Ming Rd & dent remove close to no defect. (Price range for S$ 25 to S$ 50). I had recommended my client for the rear dent on his rear bonnet of his Mercedes S350 too and was happy about it. Some of those non-Vicom @ iIn Min Rd were his discipline BJUT skill so so as not trained in USA BUT was.

Trafficwatch Clutched March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 (edited) Welcome & old days he was used to locate @ Penisula URA Carpark but bldg was torn down & re-located @ VICOM - Sin Ming Rd (Enter via the "ENTRY" gate of VICOM & straight ahead can locate him) Edited March 1, 2012 by Trafficwatch
Wyvern 1st Gear March 1, 2012 Author Share March 1, 2012 I have just called PDR about this dent removal. As usual, need to drive in to let him assess the dent which I think it true. But just like to check with those who went for his service, normally, how long the whole process takes for the dent removal..? Just a gauge.. Thanks again.. Trafficwatch Clutched March 1, 2012 Share March 1, 2012 (edited) If easy access area from inner of bonnet, then 10 to 15 mins or else around 30 mins or more. Don't rush him, he need to PDR to close to perfect as he don't like to perform shoody work (He also got self high standard of achievement too so be patience brother) Edited March 1, 2012 by Trafficwatch

Siewss 1st Gear March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 Usually best to go with a package - whole car for say..$70 or $80. That's assuming you have that many dents.
Trafficwatch Clutched March 3, 2012 Share March 3, 2012 (edited) Regret, base on my understanding, unlike car grooming on package. Usually S$ 25 to S$ 28 for 1st then there-after more dents need PDR then then the charges will be at cheaper rate for the rest (ranging S$ 10 to S$ 20 per dent depends on the damages & accessiblity) Edited March 3, 2012 by Trafficwatch
Wyvern 1st Gear March 3, 2012 Author Share March 3, 2012 Just got it done this afternoon. When I was there, Winston ask me where do I need the repair or dent were. I replied on bonnet and from one look, he is able to tell exactly where and even another spot where I didn't even notice. Can tell he is really experience. Identify 2 dent spots and was quoted $70. I guess it's due to the size of the dents. Whole process was done within 20mins and the after done effect was really impressive. To me it's as good as new. But he mentioned, he only managed to recover 70%. Overall experience was good. But it's my first time with them so just to share my experience here.. Elstef Neutral Newbie March 13, 2012 Share March 13, 2012 Guys, need help also.. Recently I had an accident. Not sure who's mistake here.. I was driving my car out of the Centrepoint carpark, and as I was about to go to the main road, I decided to drive my car to the furthest lane away from me (1st lane towards Killiney) which had a double white line on it. I did not see that double white line.. As I passes the double white line, a car actually move slowly towards me with the driver not looking in front (he was looking at the 313 Somerset mall!!! damn it).... Alas, even after I honked him, he did not seems to hear my honking... His car hit my car and now my driver door side had a dent and scratches with the car paint peeling off.......... Please advise if its my fault or I can report him? My first time being in an accident.... arghh!! I just bought my car 7 months ago ..... Do you know how much roughly will that costs me? Any way to reduce the costs?? Any good and cheap workshop to recommend to remove the dents and scratches and restore its paint appearance back??? Really need your help... Thanks! For dents, I have went to PDR (Paintless Dent Removal). Experience so far so good. Its located at SinMing Vicom, inside the premises. But you may need to drive in for him to assess the impact and cost of dent removal. For me, he is quite experience in handling such cases. You can call and look for Winston for more details. Normally I will go for the "package" with over 20 dents or more. Only cost me $100 - $120. Send my car to Lye annually for PDR. They also do panel beating. ↡ Advertisement
