New or 2nd tyres

Did you even bother to call up and check the price yourself? You don't expect me to do your homework for you, do you?

How do you know that they are more expensive than other alternative brand/model of new tyres? Or much more than pre-used tyres?

 

If you want to buy pre-used tyres you should only get those which you know have been removed from new cars within a few days after delivery. Perhaps some may have those coloured lines around the circumference on the treads. The difference in price from same brand & model of new tyres may not be very significant.

 

So many brothers like BoneStone, WrathChild, Donut and others have given you sound advice but you seem determined to be penny wise but pound foolish. Remember, tyres are the only part of the car in contact with the road!! Also if your car were to skid, other innocent motorists (and their vehicles) and pedestrians may be hurt.

I'm scraping next yr nov, If you mileage is high, suggest u get new tires with high threadwear to last till it end. For me, my current tyre will expected to last to end of this yr, I will go for 2nd hand for it to last till scrap. My dilemma now is my battery will last till this yr as well, wonder where I can get a 2nd hand or preserve it till scrap.

As for Hankkook K415 last check $92, still looking for cheaper option.

Try Federal FD2, thread wear 420 if I'm not wrong, my last one lasted me over 40000 and it still looks brand new but backside itchy decided to change, regret wasting the money...
