Q7 ride tough

X5 more comfy

Q7 bigger size and better exterior

X5 better interior

Q7 has more space than X5

Performance wise about the same.

Fc audi win if diesel version

Other conti full size? GL? Or maybe R class? Merc more reliable than bmw and audi

Note: R class side crash not so good, reason why i sold my R class. But new R class no prob. Fc wise 7-8km/l for R280L. Interior space is the winner here. Exterior look subject to taste

My female friend existing XC90 COE going to expire,

but due to be addicted to full size SUV, next car narrow down to Q7 and X5,

drive pattern 90% send/pick kids to school, shopping etc, occasionally travel to Malaysia and need 7 seater and interior space, satety, reliability, performance,

can anyone here compare Q7 and X5 Pros and Cons, or any other conti full size suv recommendation,

thanks

I chose the Q7 cos it had more space than the X5. I am averaging FC at 8.3 km/l as of the 50k kms mark now. Car is about 2+ years old.

Ride is ok when the air suspension is set to comfort. But interior space isn't as great as you would think in a car this big. I think a Merc GL would be better in that.

Also, car is over 10 years old so new platform expected in 2015. Avoid the current Q7/X5 if possible and go with GL or wait to see how new 2015 Q7 works out. Also check out the new Volvo XC90 [thumbsup]

Hi guys, got my new ride 2 weeks ago. Just finished 1k kms. Wondering if other Q7/Other SUV bros can share their FC in Sg's stop/start traffic. My avg is only 6.5 http:///public/style_emoticons/default/bigcry.gif but I'm hoping it'll start improving as I started more expressway driving.

Hello bro,

affordable Q7, asking this kind of question feel quite shame leh.

ho ho... curiosity is not the same as shame bro.

Let me tell you a story;

About 5 years ago, I bought a new Mazda6 for 90k incl COE (awesome deal, btw). Was driving one day with my cousin and we were going into CBD early morning via Prince Edward Rd. Since it was 0955, I pulled into the old carpark next to it before the gantry. Got down to light a ciggie and my cuz says why we stop now.

Told him the ERP stops in 5 mins so lets have a cig. And he says, come on cuz, you paid 90k for a car and want to scrimp on 50c. So I asked him to watch an old man with an S-Class Merc. He paid 350k for his car and he is also waiting for the gantry to be switched off [:p]

Every bit helps...
