Is there any checks on seafood that we consume?

after the great earthquake that struck japan last year and japan released over 11million litres radioactive waste into the ocean which the water can flow anywhere and infected the marine life with nuclear radiation, and also the ocean is a place where people harvest for seafood.

 

this is worrying as people will unknowingly eat the seafood which are radioactive.
