Vratenza Supersonic April 27, 2016 Share April 27, 2016 Apparently train delay again Very soon this kind of statement will evolve become: Train delay. [Expected, matter of fact] | | \/ Train working today. [Yeah! Quickly go take the train before it breaks down again]

Quickly go take the train before it breaks down again] All the breakdown and delays on train you cannot expected when it will happen and whether you are inside or outside the train. So no use whether the train is working or not. You can board the train when the train system is working normally, but next min you can get stuck inside the train! Carbon82 Moderator April 27, 2016 Share April 27, 2016 If you are those who take the train everyday, you will know the train system seriously in quite a bad condition, with unreliable frequency, delays and breakdown. Agreed. During my holiday in HK 2 years ago, my wife and kids commented "The MTR is traveling much faster than our MRT in Singapore"... enough said.

SMRT will tell you cannot like this compare, cause you only take their train few days while you were there. Maybe their train also have breakdown/delays which we don't know? Lol. Same like when tourists come here for holidays and take our train, they also commented that our train very good what. And my wife nodded her head when I talk. Those were the days... Actually quite true la. Don't say about travelling faster or not. At least last time mrt is reliable. But you know why mrt travelling slower now, cause smrt always emphasis that they are changing the wooden sleepers, as such impose speed restrictions for safety reasons is a must blah blah... just to justify their poor mrt service now. Remember they are working on it and appreciate your understanding while the improvement works are in progress! I stayed in Taipei free & easy and took their trains from steam train to HSR and none breaks down during my 10 days stay. Maybe should had stayed 100 days ... Joseph22 Turbocharged April 27, 2016 Share April 27, 2016 Taipei MRT is not so crowded even during peak hours. It feels like SMRT in the early years. No comparison for HSR in Singapore, except maybe KTM. How come not crowded??

No comparison for HSR in Singapore, except maybe KTM. Taiwan not really comparable. I have Taiwanese colleagues, they say they don't really take MRT because their 机车more convenient. Almost everyone has one. The only thing is these cannot go up on their highways.
Joseph22 Turbocharged April 27, 2016 Share April 27, 2016 (edited) Less population in Taipei proper ? Farther out, people just ride a bike or drive a car.Lesser population in Taipei???. But I know their bikes are a lot. The first time I saw bikes jam all stationary is in Taiwan. And that's in Kaohsiung only. Imagine Taipei.
