Tuna_seng Clutched February 23, 2012 Share February 23, 2012 It is a nice car, good looks, good handling all, much better than its predecessor. But for the price they are selling at, about $180k, it has NO XENON LIGHTS? Should C&C be ashamed for importing the car with such low specs?? It is like the Scirocco.... Such a nice car but they deliberately import it with no xenon lights for OMV purposes.... Wtf... ↡ Advertisement

If C180 dont have, go up the range, i am sure the higher range will have. Otherwise can also pay for addtional option for xenon lights... C180 is the entry level coupe lah and I would expect it to be pretty "basic".... COE already $ 80k ..... $180K, already almost 50% goes towards paying for the COE. W210k 1st Gear February 23, 2012 Share February 23, 2012 I know for sure that the C180K (1.6L) has no bi-xenons - they recently switched to lower-cost halogens. C300 and C350 c/w HIDs.

Wonder if it is possible to get vRS and buy a VW grille off of eBay to fit the front. Badges front and rear, no problem replacing with VW badge. Ooops then it will look like the previous generation Passat....

I guess pay Aston's price, get Aston's portion and quality loh.

Yeah.... It is for OMV purposes i guess. But disappointed with their kiamness. If Komoco and Borneo can bring in cars fitted with xenons and still keep the OMV low, no reason why C&C cannot. Such a nice car but they deliberately import it with no xenon lights for OMV purposes.... Wtf... The entry level C-class, 3series or A4 also have no fancy LED or bi-xenon headlights. Same goes for the scirocco, the bi-xenon headlights is not standard on the entry level. It's an option. Only when you get the next trim level, you will get the lights. Then again, such cars are well known to be not value for money. Things that are supposed to be standard are not standard and option list is very long + expensive. Cklasse 1st Gear February 23, 2012 Share February 23, 2012 Bi-xenon is a $5300 factory fitted option for the new facelift C-class and it's more than a xenon light. Mercedes-Benz talk is call Intelligent Light System (ILS). This light bends round the road bend so that you can see what's ahead of the bend, a useful feature in NSHW and B roads. In addition, this light auto adjust it's throw of light according to road situation such as highway, city road base on light intensity and car speed. The light will also turn on a side shining light when the turn signal is turned on or the steering wheel is turned in the dark. An auto dip function is included in the ILS when it is enabled for high beam so that you won't blind oncoming car or car in front, again a useful feature on NSHW and B roads. This ILS makes the car look so much nicer.
