Maomaoma Neutral Newbie November 9, 2015 Share November 9, 2015 so i guess you drove only to see if it moves...hahhahha. on a serious note, those needs to be change or else your tyres will be first to go wearing out unevenly. Should I get the dealer to settle (because the inspection report they sent to theirs) states is ok or I should just do at my workshop? :) And is the pricing reasonable? :) ↡ Advertisement

Buy all parts yourself and pay for labour at jb is the cheapest option.
Rajoana 1st Gear November 10, 2015 Share November 10, 2015 (edited) Hi all, I have a few questions to ask. I had just took over the Avante, I send it to my own workshop for servicing. But it's ok not to use the (Qns 1) Shell EO right? I just read through all the comments and saw that majority using Shell EO. And also, my workshop just check and realised that I need to change the below: 1) Front Brake Pads (I know it's wear & tear) 2) Lower Arm Front 3) Linkage Rod 4) Ball Joint 5) Rear Absorber 6) & to do Alignment (Qns 2) Bcus they don't specialize in Avante and the above, it was quoted a rough gauge below $1.5K. Is there any other reliable workshop focusing on Avante to do the above and is the above pricing ok? (Qns 3) My husband did inform me about the Lemon Law. Because the dealer send for inspection, the Suspension & etc stated on the report mentioned that the car is in good condition and etc. I just took over the car for less than 6 hours and the above was surfaced. Can I ask them (the dealer) to rectify it? Although I did ask, but they say it's a 2nd hand car, can't expect much. Haha. if u or your husband goes to JB, buy the parts from song yi @ veerasamy rd and change in JB. will save quite a bit. Alignment can be as cheap as RM20 to 35. abt shell e.o. i think its ok but another brand i would recomend is redline not bad. Rajoana 1st Gear November 13, 2015 Share November 13, 2015 Check for leaks. there is a leak on the rear of the block facing the cabin. but thats been ard for bt 2 yrs no issue so far unless suddenly that got worse. If no leaks, prepare for overhaul just qurious for a top overhaul can rebore and put in slightly bigger piston and rings for tighter compression? it could also be valve seals right? Haha. buy the parts from stockist and go jb install.. labour there is sooo much cheaper. 1.5k for the above is way overpriced. Cost for the above parts bought in sgp stockist maybe 500+ actually best to get 2nd opinion.. i recommend harmony motor, amk or pandan both good Edited November 26, 2015 by Bbs

Hi I have a similar gadget set up but my display is in my hp on a app called torque pro. The readings i get as follow: WIthout A/C: driving 87- 89 statonary not more than 93 but i believe depends u stop for how long. normally hardly touches 91. With A/C : driving 88- 90 stationary : depends how long. can hit up to 99 Fan kicks in and starts to drop until abt 88 or 89 i think. The most stationary time i have is causeway jams. else not of my routes are highway driving 80% and above.
