I heard Comfort finished its contract with Sonatas. New ones are going to be Camrys!

I hope that Camrys will be the new taxis...

Resale value drop to the actual "what it is worth".

Serious? Last time I heard it is quite unlikely for them to switch to Camry because Camry has no diesel engine. Now CNG so expensive so don't worth the conversion as well while the hybrid is too expensive.

Maybe Comfort should learn from Silvercab by using the i30cw.

Yes - agreed, toyota has not diesel engine but then read this :

http://www.mycarforum.com/blog/myautoblog/...diesel-engines/

Reportedly, BMW will supply their diesel engines to Toyota and in exchange, Toyota will share its hybrid technology with BMW. During the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, both companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a mid to long term collaboration on next-generation environment-friendly technologies.

Next we may get hybrid turbo diesel engines ....... ?? [bounce2]

That was supposed to be the case b'cos the Sonatas had too many problems too early. Very common for the gear transmission to hv problem and they spent quite a bit to replace these parts.

I heard that negotiations wif Toyota hit a snag and that was the end of it.

frankly sonata taxi are alrdy more powerful than my ride.. and theres more hitting the road.. GOD~

Sonata taxi really very powerful! Everytime when they move off from the traffic lights, the pick-up is so fast and power, cannot even catch up with them, unless they slow down!

But thought the taxi company feedback that sonata taxis have many problems? How come they still purchase 5000 more sonata taxis? I thought no more sonata model liao? How come they still can buy? [:/]
