Err..back in those days Datsun100A is not expensive lah..my department is not big but with quite a number of ah sia students. Some of them drove cars bigger than lecturers

If there were ah sia students, then confirmed no problem driving car lo. Any make/model also can afford. Lol.

You gonna love this classic.

 

 

My dad has the 120Y for a full 10 years. Decent performance (we once took it to Malacca, and it can do >130Kmh with 5 pax on board), reliable engine (the only thing that gave us trouble is the after market aircon unit), but a little noisy (starting the engine will likely wake up a few neighbors every morning), and the metal is horrible (rust very very easily).

I still find datsun cars back then, like 100A and 120Y design very ugly. Lol.

funny story abt datsun 120y.. was in sydney in 95 wen my cousins hubby reversed his 120y into a pillar. Came out to check the pillar but not the bumper. He paid jus aust$1000 for the car...i was carrying a ericsson handfone tat cost sgp$1500 .

Overseas, cars are cheap. Even now. My brother studying in the US paid more for his iphone than his car. Lol.

Lol. Super true! 

Not just the US, most countries you can find great awesome cars at a bargain and not to forget the repair prices are often affordable too!
