Levante reviews actually sounds quite good, only they find interior got some poor materials inside.

The Maser drive is still full strength.

This diplomat must really hate the astronomical cost of car ownership here

Diplomat's cars are Taxes/COE Free...This car maybe belongs to a Poorer Country.

Is this the back of Jln Jurong Kechil? Have seen this around for years... diplomatic cars are not subject to COE btw. So they're either extremely new (easy to replace) or extremely old.

I think this diplomat really loves his toyota... diplomats are totally exempt from tax, so I think they pay the OMV price for their cars.

Yes, it's near Jalan Jurong Kechil.Interesting..always had the impression they are still subject to at least ARF if not COE. This Corona is classic but spares getting harder to find unless go Malaysia.

If diplomatic cars are not subject to COE, then why would they want to drive an old car le?

oh yes the one with the V12.....seriously

1 see, supposed this is the "first" S600L V12 biturbo, previous top model only 560SEL? Dont know..

That S class quite nice and big with double glaze window, and the only model which when reverse, 2 small antennae up from the boot area (that time no reverse camera...)

Btw do our SG President ever use this S class?

Wow...for the long wheel base merc, guess 2 types...hope to see one myself on the road.

1) long or extended wheelbase - 4 doors (something like current Maybach)

2) pullman type - 6 doors.

Some diplomats just take over the cars of their predecessors.  Some come from very, very poor countries - e.g. Laos, Myanmar etc so no choice and cannot afford new cars even if no COE required or tax free.

So it means diplomats need to fork out their own money to buy car ah?
