Spotted this rocket from the 90s, used to be a familiar sight and I've always wanted one. Not many of this version of the WRX left on local roads thanks to our uniquely expensive invisible paper.

Brillant car in its day (and even today) with almost unmatched power to dollar ratio, I'm sure many here have fond

( or not so fond [:p])  memories of this beast

Power is more than enough for this car, even in stock form. But the ride is rather bumpy due to it stiff suspension (and also the boxer engine). The manual version is shiok.

Drove a GD version once, fell in love with it almost instantly. Yes, it's bumpy and noisy, but it's ever so enchanting. Ppl who don't know cars may label wrx owners as ah bengs, but they are really missing the point.

Always remember how i wanted to overtake a cement mixer and shifted from 4th to 3rd and (after checking for safety) gave it some gas, that boxer turbo surge was priceless (ended up overtaking 2 other vehicles :a-happy:).

Turbocharged

Saw an AE86 in the opposite direction along Adam Road. Didn't retrieve picture, but it's probably too (motion) blurry.

Seen this wide & Long Mercs driven by a dignified looking old man today.

Thanks for the memory.

Got the chance to use one of this W126 classic for my wedding, SEL... white in colour, courtesy from a close relative.

still look good right?

Long front bonnet, can really see the full star while driving.

Newer Merc now star located a bit low (for aerodynamic purposes) from driver's view.

Very grand looking for a wedding car.

Didn't think of taking photo while it was parked beside mine at petrol station earlier. It was like, wow, so huge!

There are still many W126 S Class running on our road. I will take photo the next time I catch one. And yes, this version still look very grand today. Too bad the road tax is very high, else can consider getting one.

This one, although rare, is damage by the desire for more power.

They seal off the scoop and routed the TMIC to FMIC.

Not as bad as the mutilated Presea a few pages back, but this effectively destroy the DNA of Subaru turbo setup.

Pity...

Few days back I saw a 1990 Civic SI

Honda-Civic_Si_Hatchback-1990-hd.jpg

Unfortunately it was butchered by the Tambi owner (or its previous owners) with a huge "Hellyeah" panel at its back, ugly spoiler and roof rail made from recycled steel bars. Not to mention the "I LOVE sex" vinyl sticker.

Another wasted classic....

Is it 8 seater - 3 rows of seat?

I think its the extended wheelbase version of W123 - longer than any S class around (except Maybach)

However, the V12 emblem probably just pasted on...hehehe.

ps: Bro Carbon82 - can buy one....this road tax is definitely less than that of old S class W126 classic.

but agree that "vintage" S class comand respect. This one on sale...
