19th Month Toddler Locked Inside Car... & Saved!

How on earth their child could be locked inside a car?

Could it be they left their son who might be sleeping inside and went for makan session in Jalan Kayu?

Or they left him temporarily inside the car to pack stuff inside the boot and the toddler then accidentally locked himself or what?

Really puzzling...

In any case, it was a big relieve that no harm was done to the kid.

Given the sizzling weather we are having lately, it is unimaginable for a child to be trapped in a car under a open-air car park... :o:o

Locked in car

'My wife and I thank the people who stayed on to help.'

MR LAWRENCE QUEK: 'On Feb 4, after dinner, my 19-month-old son accidentally locked himself in the car, with key inside, at the Jalan Kayu open carpark. While my wife and I tried to distract him so that he would not hurt himself, a few people came by and stayed with us to ensure that our son was safe. We eventually had to break the car window and retrieve the key. My wife and I thank the people who stayed on to help us.'

i can't imagine. When my kid was below 3yrs... we never left him alone even to go to the boot, unless he was strapped into the child seat. And that would have been only for a few moments. Seriously.. this kind of incident should never have happened. 19 month old kid is just a toddling baby, how to be in a situation when can get to the driver's seat and then press the central locking button all by himself? How? How? How? .... ultimately... Parents = FAIL!

Also can't u'stand why wud they close doors and leave car keys in ignition. Isn't it automatic we take keys out once stop engine and open door?

In any case, its a lesson learnt for this new parents.

Let this be a lesson to newly minted parents who may not be aware of the dangers of leaving their young ones inside the car unattended.

There were reported cases of overseas horror incidents when idiotic parents left their kids inside their cars to run errands and then coming back to see that their young ones had already [angel] because of the extreme internal temperatures under the hot sun.

If side windows can be compensated by insurance co, then go ahead.

Else the best is to hit the front windshield, at least covers by most insurances.

Bro, the front windshield is a hard nut to crack as compared to side windows.

Besides under such circumstances I believe most of us will deem safety above all other issues and will just whack the side windows to free the child.

Lucky for him and for your family bro.

As a parent myself, I know how kids are when they are very young.

Have to be 110% alert especially when they just started walking...
