anyone happens to know who the headhunter was? the commission must be a very large sum ... equal to 1 or 2 months' salary of the successful candidate?

Please la getting past the headhunter is only like 10% of the entire job process. As long as they see your resume has got certain keywords in the experience they will call you. They tend to call many ppl and get interviews for you with hope of getting some comission if you get hired. Most will of course say good things like pay, bounus, benefits, how gd the compay is

 

Be smart

 

Headhunter=salesman

and they wont hesitate to flip their 'candidates' and earn multiple commissions everytime they flip.... until the candidates become overnite stale salted fish and be chucked out of the window by the headhunters..
