What next? The Japanese building a Yamato replica? [;)]

But seriously the Tigers and the King Tigers armed with a 88mm main gun was the most feared terror amongst Allied armoured formations during those days...

These Germans very eng and really got the time and money to build a replica of this monster.

How to make your own World War II battle tank

A group of tank fans built a full-scale working replica of the German Tiger VI tank used in World War II. See how they put this beast together.

"It's pretty cool how these tank fans managed to acquire all the metal parts they needed to build this tank.

"From the pictures, you can tell that it's a really difficult and tedious process.

"I'm amazed that they managed to build it from scratch."

BTW this full-scale beast is engined wan hor...

Just wondering why they did not paint the Wehrmacht Balkenkreuz, or the Iron Cross, on the hull.

I guess those old Allied war vets still alive would have mixed feelings seeing this replica, remembering many of their comrades fell victim to it and other Panzers during those dark days.

It was the Allied's luck that Tigers/ King Tigers which were introduced at the later part of the war were not mass-produced. They were also known to be prone to mechanical breakdowns due to the unreliable engine to power this 60-tonne monster and they were notorious fuel guzzlers, a fatal flaw when Nazi Germany was facing a severe fuel shortage then.

Not just have time and money, but need to have the engineering skills too. Looks like it involved a lot of metal-working, and automotive knowledge.

But it is just a replica; a hull with the right shape, tracks and engine. No armour and of course, no actual cannon! [laugh]

Don't even talk about such things...

Try installing a pair of LED lights on your car or bike here.

Or try even to modify your chopper bike to like those US style.

Or just try riding a more powerful electric bicycle without licence.

Nothing gets done here. Even arts are stiffled.

Not bad liao, considering they could mechanize this replica.

Agree it was a colossal effort to build this beast...

You want knowledge of how to make it? Here is it.

That's just the turret alone.

Managed to scroll through all the photos.

Wow this guy really went all out to make the turret alone.

(hinges made of wood? [shocked] )

Champion!!!! [thumbsup]

Cannot imagine what will happen if he decides to embark on making the hull and tracks....

In any case I pray that he did apply anti-termite treatment to his handicraft....

Try parking a Tiger tank at a HDB carpark...... [:p]

You mean park a 60T Mk VI OVER any HDB carpark lot right?

Whatever previously at the lot will become pan cake...
