Presonally,

i want my family to see me go at my choosing, my way, happy and at peace with life. preferably with a large inheritance if possible😆

not long drawn begging for death that only brings them useless mental physical financial etc suffering.

i always belive the physical body is just a vessel, time to let go, i will let go.

Can, a trip to pattaya gun range but the ending won’t be nice and have to trouble people to clean up.

Else a one way trip to Switzerland. 😅

sometimes, when it comes to freedom to choose our ending.

i think the powers in charge are different.

when you are so rich and powerful, a life times of privilege and enjoyment knowing no obstacles. you probably want to live to 100, maybe work to 95. whats medical problems? your mindset changes.

so they will never want to give others the power to decide for themsleves, cos themselves want to hang on forever.🤨

It’s a long road but what do you see in her?

Last 2 years. she has been getting increasingly forgetful. She also feels her own memory is not reliable.
Tell her something, she can't retain well. So my sis who stays near them, often has to keep repeating.
She can still function, go market and cook. But can see definite difference as compared to 2 years ago. She's 70 only.

my dad asked me if its due to covid vaccine lol. I told him, it's cos she has been a very light sleeper and constantly sleep deprived for decades lol.

Mitt Romney said the same as he's retiring from the US Senate.
Why all the US senators don't want to let new blood come in, lot of them are 60s/70s or even in the 80s.

Meanwhile u have Mitch McConnell who's having brain freezes in public, some woman democrat who has outright dementia being told what to vote by her aides still refusing to step down.

About the same as normal. Long term memories are always the last to go.

Anyway for her it's still early stage. She's just definitely no longer high functioning.

Always thought my father will deteriorate faster after retiring. He did declined quite a bit after he retired at 62. But ironically he's now 75 and declining more slowly. Whereas my mum is 5 years younger and declining faster.

It will be hard to tell in high functioning adults. But usually you have to tell them a bit of information that they deliberately try to remember but fail.

Maybe you could get her tested for dementia, I remember we had to bring my mum to do a lot of tests plus MRI before finally got the dementia diagnosis. Other possible signs are change in behavior towards others, neglecting personal appearance and hygiene, keep on buying items as they can’t remember whether they already bought them, refusal to talk to others and become socially withdrawn. They have this blank stare into space look also. Soon they may start to wonder around aimlessly if not supervised
