Car now like property.....nobody is going to sell at previous old price. Actually 2 issues. One is high coe, so price is high. Second is the down payment thingy. People dunchange car and hold on resulting in less supply.

If you drive "long term", don't need to worry about resale value. But, make sure you buy one that can grow with you. Unfortunately, the past Mazdas brought in were so under-powdered, making change necessary for some people after 1-2 years.

Saw on the Straits Times over the weekend that you can get a brand new Mazda 3 at 'only' SGD888 per month.

Guess it is another leasing scheme like the conti cars.

I am sure they will tie you down for long long term.
