SimonTan 2nd Gear February 8, 2012 Share February 8, 2012 I do think that most tyres are the same on normal driving condition. It will only show differences when you track or do frequent emergency braking. Good tires, drivers will adapt to the grippy charactieristics and brake harder and later. Lousy tires, drivers will adapt to it and drive more carefully. It's such subtle learnt habits that makes most tyre feels the same.
Tohto Hypersonic February 8, 2012 Share February 8, 2012 some ppl are just damn funny lor... tyres beside having different levels of grip in wet/ dry cool warm conditions... thread wear differences... stiffness of sidewalls... speed rating etc.... i think most important is that good tyres breaks down/loses grip progressively... rather than a poorly made tyre which might cause a crash easier... but watever it is... to the average idiotic snail paced driver, any tyre is the same to him/her even if given slicks... The worst thing is I had seen so many car on the road with almost botak tyres. Even on expensive conti. Those owner spend so much many in buying the car but refused to replace the tyre..

Not every country has F1 Asym or Michellin or whatever lor....... they have own local made tyres, brands are totally unknown and they are all using them...... so what's the problem??? another point i wan to made is IT'S THE DRIVER'S SKILLS........
