How to disable a car?

I was reading our Toyota Wish club forum recently and found out one of the owners there got his Wish stolen at Sunway Lagoon despite the usual precautions taken. Kinda sad to read such incident, if it can happen to him, it can happened to anyone of us driving to Malaysia.

 

My question is, is there any other ways to prevent this? Is there a fuse or connection where I can unplug to disable the car so nobody can even start the car? Maybe disconnet a host? Take out steering wheel? Take out spark plug??

removing battery wire is stupid.

Surely no need to remove battery.

 

Maybe just need to take out the ignition main fuse.

 

For towing prevention, an incline motion sensor is required.

 

For breaking glass prevention, a sonic sensor is required.

 

Or even a motion sensor is required.

 

Best if there is a small 12v (motorcycle battery hooked up with a fused isolator to the main battery, aka those second battery for sound system use), to purely run the car alarm. This way even if the thief disconnect the main battery, the second 12v battery can still sound the alarm for a long time to attract attention.

 

To total disable a car to prevent theft.....need to think out of the box.

Take out steering wheel or the four tyres can still kena steal - what if the thieves bring spare tyres and use a flat bed tow truck?

Get a batmobile....or mod ur car to be one....I like the mod that send electrial shock to any one who touch ur car...prevent been tow install a high tech computer which run on a human brain and react according to suitation ...maybe in future around 50 years time ? Where car hover and fly ...no more road ...no more expressway :D

The most effective way is not to drive to malaysia at all!

just park the car in a box, seal the box....

But this box is 20' & weights 1.5tons...

install a distance gauge bomb.... once it is beyond u for a specific KMs it will self destruct..

 

u can also... bolt your car to the ground......or invent a foldable car that can keep in your pocket...that will solve it...

i heard from a friend that his car got a secondary switch whereby you need to turn it on, then can start engine...it can be signal lights, hazard lights, or any buttons...

how about have air suspension so that when you park, you can lower the car till the body sit on the floor!

Remove MAF sensor to prevent people from starting up your car.

To Prevent towing.... hmmm thats a hard one. Maybe a device that can send you signal to you. when someone is touching your car and link a remote 360 degree web cam in your car to your smart phone so that you can check whats happening. and also a seperate battery plus alarm so that they cannot deactivate it so easily.

 

Or A flame thrower at the side of the car. with remote control from your smart phone.

Or A speaker link form your smart phone so that you can talk to the ppl stealing your car and scare them?

Or best change car plate to msia car plate, that may lowered the intention to stealing your car =)
