Quick survey: hp/ton vs 0-100 time...

Please list the above figure of your ride (now or previous) and see how the two figures relate?

 

mine about 150hp per ton, 0-100 about 5s

 

Note: actually Nm (ie torgue) per ton is more relevantly to 0-100 sec....?? but nevermind, just a casual comparison between power / acceleration.

120hp per tonne, 0-100kmh in 7.7s (E250 CGI cabriolet) (1.695 tonne, 204bhp 310nm)

123hp per tonne, 0-100kmh in 7.6s (Scirocco 1.4TSI) (1.298 tonne, 160bhp 240nm)

 

maybe put in this format, better for comparison? just suggesting.

0-100 should be 6-7ish

675nm at 4.2k rpm

just curious:-

without a stopwatch, how would you guys 'guesstimate' 0-100 time for 475hp per tonne? (this is not a car, but a race kart which revs to 15000rpm and using full slick tyres)

 

(a 700hp car of 1.5 tonne is about the same hp / tonne)

 

any biker here to tell us bike's respective figures?

I think not just the hp/ton but FWD / RWD or 4WD plays a part in the timing too =)

HP = 120 but pickup Jazz will be slightly (very) faster due to it's weight.

Jazz is probably around 50kg lighter.

Ask me lor. About 2.6secs-2.8secs (due to weight of driver).

Because of gear ratio that takes a longer time to reach 100 as go-kart top speed at around 140km/hr.

Like how we use so much time to reach top speed...

And also, driver must be experience to have the kind of timing.

If one that don't lean back, one waste 0.1secs to top speed.

thanks.... where did you do the 0-100 timing? sgp kart track currently not long enough to clock 100kmh
