How to rotate 7" Lenovo ideapad A1 screen

Anyone tried the Lenovo Ideapad 7" tablet?

 

I am having one which cannot rotate screen at all.

 

It stays portrait, even after I adjust settings to auto rotate.

In case you don't know, there is a switch on the right hand side near the volumn switch, it's to lock the screen orientation.

I tried the switch at the side many times.

And also do factory reset, but still dont work

Are you been using this tablet, and if it will auto rotate?

This android machine dont have screen calibration selection.

Could it be in other menu?

not in settings/display

Unfortunately, this Lenovo ideapad A cannot calibrate.

 

I checked with vendor today, they confirm it should auto rotate.

 

I will have to bring in to lenovo svc centre.

i see. btw did you root your device or flash your device with custom firmware? If you did, remember to flash the stock firmware. [:)]

The method to calibrate: power up the tablet while pressing the volume up button, u will then see the menu. Also regarding the screen rotation, it only works in the application and not in the home screen, unless u are using another launcher.

yes i was able to access menu ysing these steps.

screen calibration done and also factory reset.

but still no effect

One final attempt before going to svc centre.

Heavy trappings all over sides and back,except screen,

Finally its "repaired' and able to auto rotate.

I suspect its a sticker tilt sensor.

 

Now this budget tablet at$299 is really worth the money.

I can also use it as a stand alone Gps
