Hi, I'll be heading to Port Dickson Avillion from KL soon, any bros can advise me the route to Avillion from KL toll? [wave]

Best is you use your GPS to guide you. If no GPS then roughly this is the direction (IIRC) :

1) Travel on NSH Southbound, towards direction to JB.

2) Exit "Port Dickson"

3) After pay toll, turn right at traffic junction

4) drive another 15-20 mins you enter another highway (2 lane each way)

5) drive till first traffic light and turn right (there's a signboard say some army camp or something...)

6) drive another 5 mins (you will pass thru a big army camp, soldiers & 3-tonners everywhere) and you'll reach another traffic junction, turn right at this junction.

7) drive less than 5 mins you see Avillion on your left.

just came back from montigo and wanna to ask, does port dickson resort offers sea sport like banana boat etc...kids would love them [bounce1]

I ever stay in Thristle PD, and played the water sports there - the banana boat, jet ski, etc. The room package I got was FOC for free water sports, so I did it. Otherwise I won't.

So in general would you think it's a great stay?

In terms of accommodation, service etc ...

wait.....wait

just realize that Thristle is a hotel.

In short, is there a resort (bungalow type) that offers sea sport?

Reason for selecting resort is because feel like having more moving space around to relac rather than cook up in a hotel room.

OK lah.....good is the car park is big, and so is the swimming pool.

I wouldn't say it is a great stay, but acceptable one.

Actually Thristle in PD is considered a resort. The one in JB is considered a hotel.

Bungalow style resort type I am not sure. Sorry... [:)]

Went last sun-tues. Booked the garden deluxe suite this time round. Better for me as compared to when I booked the deluxe pool villa.

Garden deluxe suite carpark is just in front of my unit, indoor pool is not covered, can have abit of sun so water not so cold. Can relax by the side of the pool and have your snacks especially since im with 3 young kids.

Didnt book with bfast as I prefer to have it outside. When to the nearby town for bfast at Pappa Rich. Dinner was seafood spread. PD is just for u to chill around as nothing to do there. My kids was in the pool for almost 4-5 hrs a day with all their buoys, balls n toys.

TVT,

so if I am heading towards Grand Lexis, I can follow this route too right? I think as long as I reach PD town I can ask around for directions.

I have GPS but don't really know how to read their map . :D :D :D

How much did you pay? How long is the drive from Singapore to PD? Is it around 4hrs? I'm planning to go in December if I have no where to go.

Reach town liao got small signs around to direct you to the resort... dont bank on only asking locals... so many resorts there.. they might not know.

Paid around sgd480 for 2 nights. but price may increase since you going in december.

Not including SG-JB causeway jams, i left JB at 11am reached Grand Lexis at 2.30pm (including 30mins rest at Ayer Keroh overhead restaurant). total around 3.5hrs

You can reach in 2hr+ if not stopping and speed more than 120km/h.

my driving speed is only 110-120km/h as driving trajet..

For Grand Lexis, Once you exit PD, turn right. Go all the way straight exit at Lukut, then turn right. Go straight in about 10-15mins you can see the sign to Grand Lexis (turn right) immediately after Mobil petrol kiosk. That right... its MOBIL not ESSO not PETRON... heheheh

That's quite fast. We also don't speed, driving around 110-120km/h usually as we got kids in the car. Safety comes first.

OK noted. Look out for PD exit, then look out for LUKUT exit then turn right and go straight and look out for MOBIL petrol kiosk and turn right. Thanks alot! Very useful. [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

Thanks alot.... :D :D :D

P/S: System said I cannot praised you again must praised another 20 ppl first wahahahahah. It applied to TVT as well wahhaahahah.

Sorry, I never been to Grand Lexis before, so can't advice you the exact route.

Do depend more on your GPS and not anything else. Signboard is a good indicator but then it could be hidden (by brushes) or you could missed it. Ask locals is alright (they would help you) but then their instructions may not be exact (just roughly here there here there type).

Use GPS no need to see the map mah. Just let the GPS voice system guide you and you follow the instruction, and eyes always see the road ahead (not the map)!

Totally agree w TVT on this. GPS can only guide based on the map that is stored in its memory. Use our eyes to see the signboards and landmarks will be the 1st option once we are near the destination,

so as not to make illegal u-turn or wrong turn or missed turn...I am sure those who use Mamala GPS will find this very familiar when u have missed ur turn, "Recalculating....." or asking u to make a u turn, "Turn right and then turn right"...LOL
