haha. especially the recruits in BMT. They Seargeants shouts and scare the recruits to lose their balls. The balls are safely kept with your IC until you ROD.

Mercy-mercy. Please do not catch my ball. It is for gf... What I meant is there is some useful/serious miss out in that type of training/management. No one look into incidents/accidents due to night-blindness frequencies/occurances. Of course the typical reply when we wrtite in, will be: its satisfactory [shakehead]

During my NS got one recruit scared the PC and NCO about conducting NS with vulgar language [:p] . Another scare my PC over a running challenge my PC threw out at all recruits, thinking he could outrun any recruit (my PC no match against National Running Champion [laugh]).

Back in '98 my platoon had one national schools cross country runner that beat the whole Nee Soon Camp. Word got around about his running and during our 2.4km runs we had PTIs and PCs from other companies join our company to compete against him.

Turbocharged

Is it me or somehow I read the article posted by TS from the blog, there is a hint of anti-majority agenda that sort of gives an idea that the writer wrote like a non-local, probably a non-chinese/majority from a neighoburing country. Which is probably same goes for the "blog" and probably why he's not afraid to hoax.

"Forrested Sembawang"?, "Shoot clear"?, "MIRC"?, "punctured right skull through the right eye socket" (sure? I though a 5.56mm would have rip his brains out), "Corporal First class" (new rank in SAF?)

Maybe it's just me.... :/

Anyway the "brother's" blog is not really a blog and is flagged as "harmful site" by my anti-virus.

Ego is one thing. The truth is sometimes unreasonablely embarassing. A few years back, someone self-introduced as a coach from a gym tried, to sound me out for his next cliente. But although I am still a poor runner (overweight), he can not run better than me [laugh] What if he collapsed during the run? [:p] Who to train who? :D

Youth arrested for SAF hoax

SINGAPORE: A 19-year-old youth has been arrested by the police for posting an online hoax that a full-time national serviceman was shot dead during a training accident at Sembawang.

He was arrested for an offence of Transmitting a False or Fabricated message under Sec 45(b) of the Telecommunications Act, Cap 323, a police spokesperson said Wednesday. The youth is assisting the police investigations.

A police spokesperson said a report was lodged last Saturday and the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said on Wednesday it had filed the police report following an online hoax on January 27.

"MINDEF takes a very serious view of hoaxes that undermine public confidence in the Singapore Armed Forces and cause undue alarm to the public," said Colonel Desmond Tan, MINDEF's director of public affairs in a statement on Wednesday.

The hoax was posted on January 27 on a blog called Temasek Revealed. It also appeared on a Facebook page called Temasek Review.

It is understood both sites are not associated with socio-political website Temasek Review Emeritus.

If convicted of an offence under the Telecommunications Act, he could be jailed up to three years and fined.
