I have seen so many accidents over CNY. And i thought what a terrible feeling to buang on CNY. Will surely screw up your plans if not your lives.

So i urge everyone to not speed. And dont be afraid to stick to the speed limit even on lane 1. Dont let those tailgaters pressure you.

Your lives, your family lives are more important.

Remember, you will never ever get fined for travelling at 90km/hr on lane 1 on the expressway.

But you may lose your license or lives if you speed.

So think about it, which is the wise option?

Drive safe everyone.

Road Hogger ..... you should keep to lane 2 if you want to keep tp the speed limit ..... Lane 1 is for overtaking ..... You will not get fine for travelling at 90km/h on lane 1 but you will get fine for road hogging ....

Unless the all lanes on the expressways are busy, it is advisable to keep to the left lanes. Nevertheless, regardless which lanes are used, it is best to keep a safe distance from the front vehicle. A good indication would be to apply the 2 second rule.

Be a safe and courteous road user and do not be an inconsiderate road user.

Have a nice day! [wave]

to hell to all those who keeps saying kept left unless overtaking or as long as got car faster behind you, give way.

Drive safe....life is too fragile especially for those who have kids in their cars.

if you really value life, you would just let people pass you than insist on blocking them.

...and just in case you forgot, one of those who keep saying "keep left unless overtaking" (and you're saying "to hell" to) is the Traffic Police:

U got family stick to lane 2 n drive safely. Lane 1 for singles n overtaking. Dont be a road hogger. I know ur ego telling u otherwise, but since u have kids, u should know better than to stick to lane one and hog

Lane 1 for overtaking, therefore please stick to lane 2?? This is a lame excuse I constantly hear from people who just want lane 1 to themselves. I have never seen any true LANE 1 hoggers, after "overtaking", return to lane 2.

Remember, lane 1 is for overtaking. Not exclusively just for you.

Safe driving is not about keeping to speed limit or not. Many accidents happen even when the limit is observed. Hogging the designated lane for overtaKing is both selfish and inconsiderate!

Heavy vehicle take up 3rd lane 50-60 km/h..........lorry/pickup take up 2nd lane at 70km/h..........slow driver take up 1st lane at 70ish km/h also making it difficult to overtake. Frequent situation on the road.

Anyway was working during cny and saw 2 accidents on pie towards tuas near built timah at on both days. Both near the fast corners.

You are getting yourself in danger if you insist on staying on lane 1 at speed limit.

IF you want to do it , please keep to lane 2 or 3.

You may be a saint but doesnt mean others will be one.

Those who drive fast probably has a reason or they are inclined to drive fast.

I have seen drivers provoked by the slightest reason.

On another note, how about you trying to tell the lorry/van/ bus/ motorbikes to stay in lane keep to their speed limit?

IF the TP arent doing anything ( dont see them on the road often enough) , what are you/me/we going or can do anything? Chase after those over the speed limit?

Look out for your own safety on the road.

i bet you a million bucks you wont get caught for any offence for travelling at 90km/h in lane 1 on PIE/CTE/ECP/SLE etc regardless of road condition

and i dare say you run the risk of a speeding ticket at 110 km/h on lane while overtaking

everyone juz follow traffic rules, you do what u want and we do wat we want............rules states that lane 1 is only for overtaking and emergency vehicles. if you disagree by all means do wat u deem fit. if one day u are travelling at 90km/h and an emergency vehicles comes, try to ignore and see whether you will kanna summon for road hogging o not...................
