If youbwant to keep to speed limit why must you be in lane 1 and not lane 2? TP no teach you lane 1 is used for overtaking? Frankly the lane 1 as overtaking lane is like new city using old rules. This rule cannot work in this modern age of congested roads where no road system in the world can accommodate the number of cars being fed into it. The lane 1 and 2 had to be the express lanes and left lane be the slow lane. Cars exiting the highways should never filter from lane 1 at the last minute. A fine should be imposed for such acts to deter driver. Lanes 1&2 should have 100kmh speed limit and not lower than 90Kmh.

Will surely screw up your plans if not your lives. So i urge everyone to not speed. And dont be afraid to stick to the speed limit even on lane 1. Dont let those tailgaters pressure you. Your lives, your family lives are more important. Remember, you will never ever get fined for travelling at 90km/hr on lane 1 on the expressway. But you may lose your license or lives if you speed. So think about it, which is the wise option? Drive safe everyone. There is a difference between driving safe and driving responsibility. Demanding to stick to lane 1 because you're within the speed limit is not necessarily safe as you put yourself in harm's way of those who either have to arrive somewhere much more urgently then you or simply another irresponsible driver who cannot accept that you're in lane 1 at low speeds. I would say that what you're doing is actually unsafe... please keep left unless overtaking.

Drive safe everyone. The best option is for you to sell off any vehicle(s) that is own by you and start taking MRT. 1. U will do every1 good by forever staying off lane 1 of any road. 2. U will not kill or get killed by taking MRT (only got technical problem, wasting a few hrs of your life stuck in MRT) 3. You won't get fined but might instead get fares refund to you if technical problem arises! 4. You can burn your license away coz u don't even need it coz no TP will issue u demerit points...you are clean forever..yeah forever!! 5. You won't get tailgate or being pressured, next train will be at least 2 mins apart Edited January 26, 2012 by Bluroblur
inlinesix Hypersonic January 26, 2012 Share January 26, 2012 Staying within speed limits <> Safe; Speeding <> Dangerous; It all boils down to defensive driving skill of individual drivers. Most of the accident in our expressway happens way before speed limit as u don't see badly damaged vehicles most of the time.

There are people who are in a hurry or emergencies or whatever who want/need to go faster in lane 1. If a bugger die die want to stay in lane 1 to block the way, then he should be pressured to filter to other lanes. Not that I'm encouraging people to speed, drivers need to use their brains even when they drive. ↡ Advertisement
