Chic chic sound is due to the belt being cracked. Look carefully and you might see the splits.

If you put belt dressing, you are causing the belt to slip and covering up the sound.

Your belt still need to be changed, unless you are happy with a cracked belt and the sound being covered up.

AD mechanic check liao leh.. they say belt is ok no need to change. and did a tightening. But now problem still come back.

so many bros recommend to change the belt instead of going for belt dressing spray. But.. my mileague is only 15K and is a OPC and the car is 4 yr old now. so any comments whether i should change belt or buy belt dressing to try first?

You need to check condition of the belt. If its just belt slip, you don't need to change. But if you see cracks on the belt (rubber cracking). Then you need to change.

Initially i send car for servicing and highlight this to AD. They recommend me to change the belt and idle bearing. But i put the job on KIV was thinking next service than do. When i sent the car 2nd time for service and ask them to change. The different advisor say the mechianic checked the belts and say they are ok. No need to change. Say only need tighten is ok. But until now the problem still not solve leh. Haiz.. lost confident in AD liao. Moreover now i am not going back to AD any more. intend to go outside workshop to do it. Most likely i will order my own parts of belt and idle bearing than ask workshop to change to solve the problem.. Any bros think is a good idea?
