Vhtfhwlego Supercharged January 17, 2012 Share January 17, 2012 All 4 tires is having the same wear rate... Front camber at 1.3 while rear camber at 1.15... So if difference in camber, I can surely tell. Furthermore, before I can really run in, I am already taking hard corners.... Left turn at 2nd gear, tire is already screeching... Same for right turn at 3rd gear. How can both sides, front & back got the same wear if that they are not made from different compound? ↡ Advertisement
Luv_presea 1st Gear January 17, 2012 Author Share January 17, 2012 Just changed to ku31 this evening at Soh for $95 each. They dun have stock for 205/50 so I took 205/45. After installing can feel the car much much smoother and quiter. Really a world of difference compared to my previous same profile, Westlake brand tyres. Maybe due to the tyre made in 07 and can already see white lines from inside the rubber. Dunno what Issit. And it has this very loud and deafening Wong Wong sound at speeds above 70 and thud thud thud sound at slow speeds maybe due to flatspot. Haven't tried any hard cornering yet though. Luv_presea 1st Gear January 18, 2012 Author Share January 18, 2012 Bro, same tyre profile as me Is it really quieter? Just checked, previous tyre was roadstone SA-02. made in 06/2007. And it was worned out Liao. Maybe that's why the difference in noise is that big. Really a lot a lot quieter. And smoother. Might be due to the roadstone tyre in bad condition, or its a really noisy tyre. Very value for money this tyre.

MLS Clutched January 19, 2012 Share January 19, 2012 Have been on KU31 for past 15 months with 20k + mileage and am still enjoying the grip. Truly a good tyre and pocket friendly. The difference was fantastic probably because my previous tyres were the Yokohama Aspec Decibel series. Still will go for KU31 in next change. Luv_presea 1st Gear January 25, 2012 Author Share January 25, 2012 Just a quick update, have been on ku31 for almost a week and travelled abt 500+ km. But firstly would like to check, does this tyre need any running in before the actual grip is unleashed? Or it will be the same after running in? Or it doesn't need running in? Hamburger Hypersonic January 25, 2012 Share January 25, 2012 most tyres need to be run in. 500km would be a good safe benchmark ↡ Advertisement
