It can be either. Some of the dealers use demo cars for test drive too. The easier way to check is to find the actual kms run. if it is to the tune of 1000, then it is test driven too.

For test drive, i got to see the condition first and test drive it myself. i know some agents dont really take care of test drive cars.

I think there is a "shelf life" for test drive car, dont think agent will dive until the car very jialat and then sell. Usually the car should still be not bad condition. I still find it is better than buying a 2nd hand car.
