PETALING JAYA: The chief executives of AirAsia Group and Thai AirAsia plan to visit Songkhla tomorrow to apologise to a flight attendant over an incident where she was forced to prostrate herself following a complaint from a passenger.

The incident was believed to have happened on a recent Phuket-Bangkok flight.

A passenger had complained to the airline that the attendant had dishonoured her by asking what she could do to help her daughter purportedly with a disability, Bangkok Post reported.

It is not clear why the mother became upset about the attendant pointing out the disability.

Following the complaint, the airline management had a meeting with the mother and the flight attendant, who prostrated before the passenger in apology, Tassapon Bijleveld, chief executive officer of Thai AirAsia, said.
