The funny part I dont ustand is how come ty can draw their pensions plus current salary.

It sud b pension paid when ty retire. As long as still working, only get salary. This looks damm strange to me.

My understanding is that according to the proposal by the ministerial salary review committee, newly-minted ministers & MOSs like CCS, HSK will not be getting pensions anymore but those carry-over ones like LHL, TCH etc will continue to draw pensions after 55 yo till kaput.

No mention about senior servants but presently elite Administrative Officers like PS will continue to draw pensions after 55 yo until [angel] .

Lastly those retired public officers who opted for pensions instead of CPF many moons back also draw pensions till [angel]

All the rest of the father-mother sons & daughters strictly CPF scheme.

Ya but e pension sud only start to b paid AFTER e person retires n stops drawing a salary. Pension is meant to keep a person independent n not become a begger or starve after he/she stops working.

How come ty can draw pension n still work n draw a salary too? That means ty r getting 2 "salary" fr e same job. [confused]

Well, put it this way: If the boss gives a worker the liberty to decide his/her own wage by issuing a blank cheque to them, what do you think most workers will do? [rolleyes]

One standard for these elites, another for the rest of the ordinary folks?

That's how much "sacrifice" our dear ministers have been making for the "thankless" job of being one all these years... <_<

Otherwise we wil throw u out on yr golden backside.
