Hi there,

Anyone using Jura espresso machine out there? Is it reliable? It doesnt come with detachable brewing unit so does it get cranky easily?

I'm not sure about the latest Jura models, but I use a Saeco, which has a removable brew group. I'm glad of that every time I rinse it under a tap, as oodles of loose powder gets caught in the mechanism.

The Jura I had experience with did not have a removable brew group, so you had to use a chemical cleaner every so often and even schedule regular service and cleaning with a technician.

yes. jura does not come with removable brewing unit but i read up the difference between removable and non-removable but i prefer removable though.

i am currently using nespresso for 2 yrs and getting sick of the coffee and being forced to drink the same capsules which i have expected before using Nespresso. Now that I am comfortable with espresso, i have decided to upgrade for bean to cup.

I have a Jura J5 Capresso Espresso machine and it doesn't come with a detachable brewing unit. It does make a beautiful cup of coffee though and flexibility of being able to choose your own beans is just awesome.

Had it for about 6 months, with a two year warranty. So far no issues!

Jura is a great machine. One of the better brands. Its a fully automatic coffee maker. I own an ENA 5 for > 2 years. Still running well and the cup of coffee I get is awesome. Makes great latte and cappuccino.

If you do not want the hassle of a manual coffee maker and looking for an automatic, this is the best and value for money for a home use.
