Kid booster seat

I bought a graco turbo booster from lazada. The USA version had latch. Thought I was saving money vs the Britax. But when I open it up today, no latch/isofix straps. Zzz. No mention in the manual as well. Must be the international version has no latch straps.

Roughly at what age, height or weight do you transfer your child from front-facing child seat to booster seat?

 

For a child at K1 and standing at 1.07m tall, should he be using front-facing child seat or booster?

I changed over when my girl was near K2. I would say at least 5-6 years old. I would say no harm leaving them in longer until they exceed the height limit of the child seat.

They should be able to sleep without flopping over the seat belt. But that's hard for most kids. I bought a booster with a backing for some lateral protection. The backing can be eventually removed to leave the seat portion. But I don't think I will remove it until she's older. My kid in p1.

 

Most front facing child seats are rated to 20-25kg. So it's not really a weight issue.

@albeinz, I have 2 of this. It has several names depending on where the item originated from.

The only difference is 1 has more padding around the neck region and bolstering.

I bought 1 for like 170+ (mistakenly thinking it had Latch/isofix points for the seat portion, then bought a 2nd one from lazada for about 130+.

But if this shopee price is true, it's darn cheap compared to what i paid.

 

My BIL bought the same thing from amazon prime singapore as well. But i dunno how much he paid.

My BIL is moving his 3 year old into the booster seat (for the infant to go into baby seat).

I wouldn't recommend to seat in one of these so young ... but they drive a mz3, so a bit limited in rear compartment sitting room.

$95 likely not correct price. I have a similar one. Just changed my kid to a booster only by removing the back. She exceeds the height of the back and she is now in K2.

 

Highly not recommended for the 3year old to be in a booster only. The side supports of the back rest helps a lot to protect and hold the child in place especially at 3-6years old.

I just checked, u can get it on sg amazon prime for $98. That's free delivery.

Damn good price compared to what we paid 

 

I agree. But since they bought already (i saw the box at my in-law's), i just diam diam.

Wah good price then. Mine was bought long long time ago. For sure was $150 and above.
