Come to think of it, I think I know why the ministers are paid high salary. To sell their soul to the devil and not to voice out or go against what seems like nepotism going on at the top.

Using money is very successful if you recruit from pirates den. Much less effective if you want to attract a good priest.

But do you want a thief or a priest?

More importantly, also reflects on recruiter - is he a thief or a priest? Because who recruits from a pirates den except another pirate? [laugh]

Pay them millions but always post messages on FB or say things that were "misunderstood"... think the money is better spent building an education program for better speaking....

Why pay millions to semi-illiterates?

If the incumbent is truly sincere about getting good and honest people to serve the country, they should learn to accept the fact that not every good and honest people are willing to serve through their party. At the same time, they should learn to embrace the good and honest people who are in the opposition parties instead of nit picking trivialities of credible opposition members, trivialities which are also inherent in the members of their own party. More importantly, they should not take the slightest chance to demolish credible opposition members just because such opposition members are likely to have the clout to challenge their senior and/or more able members.

As regards remuneration of the ministers, the MIW should acknowledge that besides the salaries and other perks, there is an intangible benefit of status, power and influence which are not equal by even the best paid in the private sector.

Hence, to stress on the need to be paid an OBSCENELY HIGH salary vis a vis the national median income just to attract

i was having kopi with two of my buddies

1 being a IT guy who always talks based on logic

another being in construction sales who sometimes mus go the "extra mile" to secure the job

but he being an upright guy is always upset when he receive instructions to go the extra mile

so the topic for the night was about corruption

the IT guy then mentioned, the astro scale of the minister's are such that they do not corrupt.

that would equate to, peasants like us HAS EVERY RIGHT to corrupt.

so if u get hauled up to court for theft, CBT,forgery jus use this reason, because i am lowly paid so i will be corrupted as this is the way the system is setup.

what MIW failed to understand in this reasoning is that corruption or honesty all boils down to the individual 's upright character or integrity.

the leaders of the country should be a patriot with a passion to serve the pple and not for the pay plus the additional "anti-corruption" allowance.

i think the values and the system is totally wrong.

i read on yahoo news about the pay of the top leaders of 8 asia countries, other than the payscale of ours., wad suprises me was that the PM of S.Korea is actually donating 100% of his pay to charity.

i can tell u it makes the highest paid person in the story look so small.
