A article in the papers mentioned how 'unclean' utiensile in public eating places can be. In fact, chefs' sweat/hair etc is likely to be part of the ingredients in the food.

Toilets in these places are clearly not world class in terms of hygiene. The workers (chefs, kitchen-hands, waitresses etc) use the same hand in the toilet, kitchen, handling your food, passing the utensile (while holding the parts which touch the food which goes into your stomach) to you etc.

We may say our stomach has been trained and no prob and why worry?

Maybe its about time we bring our own utensile? I have seen few pple already doing it. :o

Food are damm dirty.

But we are like wild animals, eating the fur, dirt and insides of other animals.

Some food like corns and grains, has a limit of foreign matters content allowance.

Same as the durians or rambutan, did you clean the outside before your eat the inside? Your hand touching the dirty outside can be disgusting, if you see that birds has pooped on it, dogs has lick it, mud all over it.

Washing durians ........have you ever though about washing your durians, rambutan, lychees, like the way you wash your apples?

good questions....

but germs from toilet getting onto the food/utensile thru hands is different and more 'serious'.... and some plates/bowls etc are washed next to the toilet door (or even inside the toilet!).

how they wash the utensile? ------------- one dip into used water, wiped it with re-used table-cloth, leave it overnite in the open (where cockroarches etc roam)

maybe someone in this line (chef, waiter, table-wiper etc) can verify such methods?

i am paranoid on this and yes i use my own utensils as much as i can. Having said that , there's only so much you can do about cleanliness unless you cook at home.

that just alleviates the cooking portion and not the ingedients portion... LLST

La Sup Jiak La Sup Tua.

You cannot be too clean internally neither can you be too dirty.

Your body's resistance is stronger when you body adapts and is in control of the filth it consumes.
