I'm using IRobot Roomba for around 8 years, It works around 70%. Now using Neato botvac, the suction is more powerful and the way it work is smarter.

IRobot is rather random but it is proven to last.

I will prefer Neato.

LG Roboking also pretty quiet but at expense of sucking power. Uses mapping to navigate. I uses both Roomba and Roboking.

Moi is recommend iRobot because it doesn’t use Li ion battery which is a fire hazard

It uses nimh

For so many gnerations of iRobots, iRobot refuses to use Li ion

Hehehe is got reason one

I suspect is fire hazard

But if you can find any other robot also is nimh one also can lah

Robot quite standard one lah

My one 5 years Liao

So far every 1.5 years change battery

Changed the bin once because the motor sucker spoiled

Changed the brush assembly once because the gear holding the brush worn out

Everything else no problem

I would like to ask for recommendations for robot vacuum cleaner, whats a good buy in 2018?

Budget below 1000, better if around 500+.

Looking for mainly vacuum only function as I think the mopping function is not that effective?

Thanks.

I think this is a pretty good review depending on your want/needs.

I have iRobot Roomba (vac only) and Scooba (very light vac + mostly mobbing). I like it....clean enough for me. But have to factor in batt replacement which usually last about 1yr - 1.5yr, if you use it at least once a day, everyday.

May I know where you purchase yr iRobot battery.
