Why is he selling at 4.8K only. The scrap value far exceed this. Must well scrap and get back more $$$

 

that car surely belongs to old 2002 PARF scheme. don't understand why he don't want to scrap. surely can fetch more value scrapping rather than selling in open market right? almost 10 years old, i think export overseas maybe not so lak gu so better scrap.

When he says selling body only I guess he probably means the parf he take. You give him the 4k and the body is yours. Heard of some workshops who do buy the bodies only cuz sometimes its cheaper if there is a car involved in a major accident and need lots of spares to repair. Just buy the body for the parts.

Yep. The old scheme was really generous. My previous car registered in 2000 when I scraped got back 20k+ the body sold to workshop.

Old scheme PARF rebate before Apr 2002 is 80% OMV at 10yrs mark
