He is selling body only meaning no omv/parf rebate or anything else for that matter. He will probably have a hard time getting 4.8k for a corolla body. My friends 7 series only had a body value of 3k when he exported it last month. Economy all over the world aint doing well now.

The 7 series only get so low now? Last year my toyota corona can get more than 3k when export.

The owner has an last offer of $4K for the Corolla body value and mileage is genuine, I was asking the owner why didn't he renew COE 2 yrs ago when PQP was only $3K, the owner told me he thought it's not possible to renew in advance and regretted and he is going car-less soon, coz no one in right mind will pay $50K PQP today

take note that the coe only left with 1 yr and a month.

but the quality on this model is way better than altis. and it is quite rare as most of them are already exported.

Ya this car is solid. but coe so high now. Renew it already a big hole in the wallet.

Many years back, Vios can get 10k body price. The Corolla body price gotten $6k. But I think more people want Toyota than the BMW and that is why it fetches better pricing. Demand and supply issue.

It was an E65 730I. Yes probably demand and supply issue thats why the price was so low. 4k for a corolla is really good, id advise him to take it. 2 years ago I had an offer of 2k for my 190E. When I scrapped it at the start of this year, it only had a body value of $300. The prices for car bodies really fluctuates due to demand and supply so it really depends on your luck. Pretty stupid of the owner not to renew COE at 3.5k in 09 if you'd ask me. A simple call to LTA to check could have secured him a vehicle for the next 10 years at that time. Ah well whats done is done... no point mulling over the past now.

eh.

selling price 5k,

OMV 19k

scrap=get back 9.5k.(50% OMV)

earn 3.5k?

Yeah that's what I thought so. Some more LTA gives back cash nowadays. So I don't understand what people say selling body only. There should still be parf. Furthermore if he renewed 3.5k COE then, he forgoes the PARF, which means his depreciation for the car within PARF period is higher, and that the subsequent depreciation is higher (PARF + COE )/10. Furthermore road tax becomes 150%, so effectively he's paying 2litre road tax.
