Bought 8 from mustafa... Claimed 10km... Actual 1.3km...

If that 8 cars are split too far, alot of confusion as the middle guy will receive the first signal n last signal.

The last signal will not know the first signal is trying to communciate n will often jam up everything when people start to abuse/making fun of each other...

The best bet, get GPS for 8 cars...

It would be much safer.

Just go Challenger. They got sell quite a wide range, 'rated' 5km to 10km. Motorola ones, approved for local use.

I bought from courts before too, during their special offer, $60+ or $70s. Motorola 5km type.

if they found out that you tapped on a restricted frequency, you think thats all that will happen?

Don't worry, you won't find a HARM missile coming your way.

Anyway, by turning it on and off, it's enough to confuse and the authorities will not be able to get you.

Of course don't be dumb to try it on a fixed location.

i got mine @ www.advanztec.com

ask them for CP180 ( $90- Nett with no GST )

cp180.jpg

what i like about it is, its WATERPROOF ! EXTREMELY small, size of lighter

I use it for cycling in east coast, overseas shopping mall :D and kayaking

Just make sure you cover the charging port below (USB connector) and the top connector (for earpiece)

walkie talkie's declared range is based on line of sight of 2 parties seeing each other.

In reality, this is not possible, unless you use at Runway, or places like this.

So it is better to get the highest possible range.

I have a pair of Uniden GMR2900.

Claimed distance 29km.

Real life... less than 2.9km.

In built up areas... 290 metres more like it. [laugh] [laugh]

because you are in the BASEMENT. most WT can cover only from B1 upwards

to cover B2 and below you need to put a system up.

I was working in Marina Bay Sands during construction, the coverage was so

bad that even cellphones can not cover. In the end we got a contractor to fix

a system up to cover B5 to 1st floor. FWAH.... after installation, it was CRYSTAL CLEAR

as if the person i talking to is next to me :D plus we got supplied with a super small

ultra fancy WT :)

for one unit only.

range wise, nothing to complain cos use it for east coast cycling and

can cover quite a long distance. use it in JB shopping also no problem :D

I was quite impressed also, recently it was raining and i left it in my pocket

I was total wet but WT still working. Next test, going to drop it inside a glass

of water kekekeke...
