Any lobang for short range walkie talkie

Dear bro annd sis,

 

Anyone know where to find good deal for walkie talkie, those short range one not intended for singapore use, so export set are welcome.

 

I went Mustfa damn expensive.

erm.. tie a string to 2 tin cans? i tried when i was young but it never worked! older generation swore that it works! :P

 

i think motorolla should work. can find at challenger and harvey norman.

short range withut licence type.....at most 5km without obstruction.

S$100 sim lim tower got sell.

 

alternatively get a tourist to buy those higher powered units, can get >10km without obstrution. At basement of Sim Lim Tower.

i got a pair of motorola, (T4508)

 

my cousin got a pair, motorola (T5503)

 

by right, if find the frequency table, can tune all 4 to communicate right?

 

 

problem is i cannot find the frequency table online,

thus i sync all 4 to work.

 

appreciate all help.

Bro you may like to check the radio freq spacing and the freq band they are using. To see if the two model is compatable. just my 2 cent hope it help.

i bought a pair of cobra walkie talkie from the states for use during hiking

when i turn in on and select various channels can get

maritime and police channel

so i assume it is illegal

but police not so free to catch people using this

those legal ones aka PMR are more epensive

 

search for thread for walkie talkies

i post some info about walkies

 

anyway

if intend for driving use, try to get those comes with ear piece

also with earpice it will be discreed when using it especially in a noisy shopping center

get motorola ones... eg fv200 is small,affodable, legal and reliable...

 

one for convoy lead, one for tail... 5miles coverage more than enough....

5miles in theory... In actual use hardly enough range cause effective range is 1km or less esp in urban area.

When u convoy at high speed its a diff issue altogether. I reco u get a good one with range >10km
