Cars08 1st Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 (edited) This is a pretty crappy attitude. So long as the car is repaired good enough already...people making a mistake should not be taken as a blank cheque. You saying that you are so good you have never screwed up before? Much as I would be pissed, I'd try to remember that s--t does happen, and all the people that have cut me a break before... This got nothing to do w attitude rather standing by your right. In this case, you think it is merely a mistake? Did I mentioned blank cheque? Read carefully my last statement which I qualify the sum. Did I mentioned I never screwed up...but yes never screwed up like what I hv seen in this case... In any case, yes, if you screw up, you pay the price. Tat's life...Behind every mistake there is a price to pay. Just claim suay and move on...hmm...I believe my suggestion is merely to compensate for the "loss" (both emotional and actual) suffered. If this happen to me, trust me...I will see to the end of this matter no matter how much it costs and how big you are... Cars08 1st Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 Err VW is just a mass market cheapo car ley, what has it gotta do with affordability, it's more on the principle....but legally owner may not have much recourse as long as VW repair it back to a state when it is functional Bro, for the money you pay for the car, you can well afford a legal letter...Im comparing in this sense... Repairing it back to the state of functional is nt good enuff...If it is good enuff, wld he bring it up? So this bro must qualify what he is looking for ultimately... A brand new car if possible good..but u know this is nt possible..So wat's next? compensation..the most practical way..how much, depends on the bro per se... Like I say, the mkt value of his car plus a few Ks... (how many Ks? very subjective and Im nt the owner)
Vega Turbocharged December 23, 2011 Author Share December 23, 2011 The victim has a very good case as he has a witness that saw the AD speeding along leng kee. the cabby even got out from his cab and clap to the driver of this demaged GTi. I think VW should come up with reasonable compensation and do damage control before this spin into another PR nightmare for VW which they already have for their after sales service. Cars08 1st Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 Just go to VW after your car is repaired and returned. Sell it away. Then one fine day go down to VW with a couple of friends, each test drive different car. And try to bang and scrap the test cars into each other. AD will FEEL THE PAIN when their own pockets are hurt!!

I know many ah sia kias who are successful by themselves too with successful careers or businesses, we are not the kind of people who will throw $20000 over something that is meaningless even though we can afford it, my immediate family is not that rich and my dad came from humble begginings but my extended family is but many of my cousins do not act like ah sia kias too, actually we are quite well brought up compared to those people who perhaps for some reason or other became rich and become haolian and think that money can buy class. I am sure my idol will agree with me.

Im sure different ppl r brought up differently to appreciate the value of money...1 question...even if u r thrifty...what can u do when you no longer on this earth? I know leave it to the children...appreciate the value of money nt thru how much u hv but rather what kind of value u achieve out of it... nt preaching...I knw of someone who has enough wealth to last thru a few generations...but looking at the kind of life he is going thru...it may not be afterall a blessing.... I believe in moderation, like you got the money to buy porsche, but you can buy a more practical merc instead, no need to live like a pauper when you are rich but no need to throw money after the bad too ↡ Advertisement
