Cars08 1st Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 (edited) Anyway, if you can afford a VW..state your demand to them....how much will make you feel good huh? They nt happy with your demand...tell them you also buay song they treat your car in such a manner.... They are fully responsible for the well being of your car...no repair works can bring your car back to its original (before the crash).... If they don't pay, jus issue them a lawyer letter... But first, you must determine how much will calm your nerves down and make you happy.. The price tag or net worth of your car plus a few Ks should be the max. Err VW is just a mass market cheapo car ley, what has it gotta do with affordability, it's more on the principle....but legally owner may not have much recourse as long as VW repair it back to a state when it is functional
Bystander50 5th Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 AD means new everything, not a single item will be repaired plus she got a scirocco to play with so whats the complaint about? i'd let anybody crash my car if they would ensure it comes back with every damaged part replaced and i get a better car to drive! But when that happens, your car's structural integrity is compromised. My mech once told me, crash the same part twice, 3rd time the whole thing will just give way upon impact. Similiar to bending a coke can a few times.

I never send my car to AD for servicing after the 1st complimentary servicing. There is no value add services provided, if you consider the free flow of biscuits and milo. The mechanics servicing your car is like doing a production operator job and most of them are young apprentice doing the job with no real troubleshooting experiences. In fact you're paying a premium for average services. I rather service by outside mechanics where 1 guy does everything fm head to toe.

So long as the car is repaired good enough already...people making a mistake should not be taken as a blank cheque. You saying that you are so good you have never screwed up before? Much as I would be pissed, I'd try to remember that s--t does happen, and all the people that have cut me a break before...
Ken4555 1st Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 Bro, for cars things like chassis warp can never be repared. Much as I would be pissed, I'd try to remember that s--t does happen, and all the people that have cut me a break before... bro sure if they can repair the car to the EXACT same condition as before but with possible chassis warp and material strain can they guarantee that? Why should i, as a customer who has done nothing wrong, subject myself to possible risks under compromised materials? You never know if the next time your entire chassis will give way

SimonTan 2nd Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 Just go to VW after your car is repaired and returned. Sell it away. Then one fine day go down to VW with a couple of friends, each test drive different car. And try to bang and scrap the test cars into each other. AD will FEEL THE PAIN when their own pockets are hurt!!
Zze121 3rd Gear December 23, 2011 Share December 23, 2011 Taken from VAGSG forum poolfan: i already checked it out. vws can wriggle themself out with ease. in fact, to put it bluntly, anything above repairing the car to a satisfactory level is goodwill. so far, it doesnt look like they are too concerned with keeping me happy. the manner they offered me a deal for a new car was sloppy to say the least. i had unpleasant memories about the sales advisor who sold me the GTI and i stressed that i DO NOT want that particular advisor to pitch me about the new car. However, i received a call from him 2 days later telling me the management had tasked him to talk to me about the "special deal". apart fr the usual discounts given to normal walk in customers, i will be given an additional 6K discount. To top that off, they are not going to buy my car back at market value, but got quotes from several 2nd hand car dealers to take my beloved car in. the only quote i got to know was 98K. meaning i will have to top up quite abit for the new E35. I made it clear that unless the offer is something that i cannot refuse, I will never purchase a VW again. Currently E35 5D selling $201,800 minus away the dealer quote 98k and 6k = quite abit is $97,
