Finally, the move is about to be released.

 

But now there is some controversy because the film is in 48fps (frame per sec) format. Normal movies are only 24 fps.

 

Apparently, 48 fps will make outdoors scenery look very beautiful but indoors scenes look very fake (like studio prop). One reviewer even commented he can see Ian McKellan's contact lenses.

 

Also your eyes will take time to adjust to this frame rate so the first few minutes of the movie will have a "fast forward" feel to it.

Watched it yesterday night at VivoCity GVMax.... Other than the bad experience of getting ti Vivo, the movie is not bad, story wise.... Definitely not as bad as the critics who said that it has gone into too much detail.... I would guess 2nd episode would be the best when the duel with Smaug is shown.... Theater wise, kinda disappointed. 48p is nothing much to shout about.... and driving to Vivo is really a nightmare. So bad that I drove to One North to park and took the MRT down.... Reached there 20 minutes late but luckily the movie is just about to start....
