Jamstart 1st Gear December 21, 2011 Share December 21, 2011 Strange, how come the taxi didnt stop and change particulars? If taking pictures can claim insurance, then the public road can be a route to hell for everyone.

StefanK Supercharged December 21, 2011 Share December 21, 2011 Should have forced him to stop and exchange particulars. Now he can claim that he suffered injuries due to the accident and don't bank on the passengers to help you, because you have no way of contacting them. My friend kena this year from a red cab, although it was only a slight bump (probably similar to your situation), they exchanged particulars quickly and both agreed not to claim, since the cabbie had a passenger and no significant damage was done. 2 months later, he received summons from TP, citing that he had been involved in an accident causing injury by reckless driving, demerit 6 points + S$600 (can't remember amount). The IO advised my friend that he did not have a strong case because the cabbie had a medical report done on that day. How suay can he be?

Small or big damage...remember that the taxi do not belong to the driver. He rent it only...so any damages he has to either report or rectify it at his own cost. So you say he will report or not ? StefanK Supercharged December 21, 2011 Share December 21, 2011 oh well... then should i report to my insurance first?? Report to Insurance and tell them other party not making claims. For me, what I did when I had an accident on the road was to ask the driver politely to follow me to NPP to make statement and specifically include in the statement that neither was making any claims, no injuries whatsoever. Just in case.

Ruriimasu 1st Gear December 21, 2011 Share December 21, 2011 you are in bad luck liao.. since he has witness and didnt change details with you, he will probably trashed his taxi or collude with some workshop to charge you a lot, AND claim personal injury such as backache, long term therapy buying OSIM heavenly chair, loss of income, etc from you. His passenger probably got a free ride from him to agree to be his witness.
