ntuc not the cheapest for me.

went for directasia. cheaper by 400 bucks.

but must be STOCK, inc rims. [:(]

Why are you sad about that?

At least there are insurers who recognise there are different groups of drivers. The "cheongsters" and the "uncles". Charge both groups different rates. Fairer for all!

i jus renewed with them n i checked out with them on modify parts like rims, brake disc, caliper etc.

they said that u can mod whatever u want but if u were to make an accident claim, they will only pay according to original parts cost(OEM).

Stock means the tyre size must be the same as manufacturer's size.

Anyway, K&N drop in filter is allowed. I emailed the customer service.

thanks all. I have tried to get the quote for a few agent, from the quote they sourced for me, NTUC is always the cheapest... that;s why i am posting this question here.

I jsut tried DirectAsia jsut now, it was cheaper by adround $200, but never tried before, not sure how is it, anyone know who is the insurance company behind?

I think there is a MCF thread on DA insurance claiming recently. Read before you buy.

as in stock rims for my car is really ugly.

wanted to change it but due to the nature of the insurance, decided to leave it in order not to complicate matters. <_<

Looks like many cars on the road are not stock, cause changing of rims and upgrade the tyre size is a norm for many cars.

Rule of thumb, if you're not familiar with online insurance especially the exclusion clauses -

Don't try it.

The problem comes only when you submit a claim and a whole list of exclusions will be against you.

Unless, you are definitely sure to win the case (someone knock your rear on the expressway).

Stick to the insurance you're comfortable and help will be provided upon accident.

A establish insurance company is always on the safe side even a higher premium.

NTUC is far from being cheaper, lest cheapest!I was their long standing client until i did some homework and discovered policy for policy, same or almost the same clause and excess, coverage etc. They are very costly, plus customer loyalty be damn, they are not concern how faithful you have been to them, their rates are higher,by a lot.Do some homework and do comparison on the various insurance company.

Twincharged

I think depends on your age. For NTUC I think they prefer young drivers. I'm 21 with 3 years driving experience. Third party insurance is $800+. Lowest I could find already.

Income was used to be cheapest for me too but then came my accident. They want to eat me. So no more aunty lucy for me ever.

Another Income insured car rear ended my 1+ yr old car hard. Rear bumper, crumple zone, boot n rear lights gone. Went back AD, quoted 13k. Went authorised workshop, quote 9k. I claiming third party, I want to go back AD cos my car is relatively new. Income say no. If u want, they pay me 9K and I go settle myself and they may cancel my policy!!! Ask me go their authorised workshop. LL have to listen to them, just becos both cars happen to be same company, they eat me and I have to complie. <_<

Come renewal, CS still dare ask me why dont renew with them!!!
