Hi, some freebies you can ask for are the usual items as what you have listed.  You can try for visors and boot lid protector which your SE may get them for you.  Other than that, there is really nothing critical that you cannot get from aftermarket.

probably will throw in car mat as well?

I would suggest to ask for accessories that requires installation by MI tech. For instance 2 channel car cam and such.

Other accessories such as floor mat, window visor and such is pretty easy to self install, without risking to void the warranty

Any XV owners service their car outside MI ? Any problem like availability of parts ?

Actually I do find the Servicing package price reasonable. Especially so when it comes with major servicing like changing spark plug and gear box flushing and brake fluid flushing.

I do find their choice of the 2-ch car cam to be quite ugly from what i saw in the show room. The positioning is right above the passenger seat and the camera does eat up into the view of the passenger. (I understand this is because of the Eyesight)

Anyone have any recommendation of a different model and have tried to install it more centrally behind the rear view mirror where it doesn't affect the eyesight?

Would the SE be able to install a specific model of car cam for you instead of the "stock" version?

The reason why it’s there, is probably so that you can see the dashcam MI provides for reference purposes.

Should be right beneath the rear mirror if u decide to purchase

MI (probably with Subaru) figure that's the locations that will not affect Eyesight.  Do bear in mind that the windscreen is a big giant mirror (a convex one that is) and reflections can hinder ES.

Anyways, there's no stopping you to mount the camera elsewhere if you think it's alright.  You're the driver of the car and the one who is ultimately responsible.

Didn't MI ask you to sign a discharge form after all ?

MI uses blackvue in the past, it is smaller and does not obstruct the viewing angle. You may ask if blackvue is still available anot.

I would recommend cam to be installed at driver side instead (center is most ideal but MI may claim eyesight might be affected).

But definitely not at passenger side, as during raining the wiper might not able to reach the top windscreen to clean it, as a result the cam cannot record clearly

i asked and currently there is only Hella offered, and hence decided not to go for it as I prefer it below the rear view mirror.

did the SE offer something else instead? Wonder if it’s possible to tell them to mount it at a particular position.

I’ve heard that the wiring is the same for blackvue, so we could change it without re-wiring. Can anyone confirm?

Only Informed that they don’t carry blackvue at the moment.

You might want to re check the output voltage/current.

getting it done thru MI means confirmed no warranty concern for Eyesight, cos with the system mounted right in front we really dunno how crowded is it at headboard area.

why risk a $3+k system (that's the price MI quote for Eyesight replacement) for a few hundred dollars camera?

also, u can roll all these options into loan so dun have to pay cash now...

it probably can't mount direct behind mirror due to Eyesight system above. and getting it on passenger side except for maybe rainy day coverage bad, else will get used to it.

of cos i guess u can request SE to have instruction to mount at driver side, but it will be intrusive (probably more so with the bigger Hella) and will have difficulty when need to deploy sunvisor down.

i stuck with MI install Blackvue at the end even though i already have 1 Itronics and 1 Blackvue from previous care, just peace of mind. at least i could get blackvue cell-link done also at that time, not sure if they offer anything similar now with Hella camera.

Actually the car mats were the first thing I thought of replacing.  But after getting the car, I found the stock car mats are light, easy to clean and work very well.  Decided not to change them in the end; stock is good enough.

Hi, my XV is currently at 40+k mileages and is considering changing the tyres. Currently still using the stock Yoko Geolander. Are there any good recommended tyres that can consider? Thanks.

What are you looking for in your next change?

More quiet one? More grip one? Lower

rolling resistance one?
