XV e-Boxer! 250Nm! that's 25% increase!

https://www.subaru.jp/xv/advance/

WLTC mode probably more realistic now, 15km/L. but 110kg heavier than normal 2.0L...

and JDM cars get electronic seats for both driver and passenger (see YouTube videos)......

fuel tank smaller though at 48L, gotta have space for the battery...

wonder when will we have e-Boxer in Singapore...

Hi XV bros with eyesight,

Has any bro declared/insured the solar film on front windscreen to insurers and if successful, kindly advise which insurer pls ?

As you are probably awared, MI does not installed solar film on front windscreen due to concern on interference with eyesight as advised by Subaru Japan/Fuji Industries while side windows are ok.

I did not proceed with booking planned imprezza 5D after 3rd test drive due to this issue since I cannot accept that MI leave it to me to risk non claim by insurers under "non declaration of fitting non standard oem equipment" clause.

Will be also asking impreza bros with eyesight in their thread.

Thanks and regards.

Richard

Did anyone get the Hella camera from MI? How is it?

Also told by my SE the Cellink got 10 or 20 hours for parking surveillance? What’s the difference?

Hi Cent50,

Difference in price ... longer parked recording for 20 hrs cost more naturally and you have to ask yourself if how often you do park more than 10 hrs or you dun care about $ spent on it.

MI will install additional battery for you or SE bring it outside ws to do and not warrantied by MI as well as still end up with threat from service that you void warranty associated electrical parts e.g. alternator ?

If yes, please have it included in booking order to avoid future trouble.

Cheers.

It is a good move to bring in the e-boxer technology. That will improve acceleration and better fuel economy. That will definitely give a boost for Subaru if the price is right.

Hi Cent50 ,

Cool and please keep us informed and thanks in advance when done by MI as I believe forester, impreza etc bros may not mind paying a bit more to avoid this concern on warranty void on associated electrical parts.

Tell you SE to get it fixed before collection is the best ...

Cheers,

Richard

Hey guys, seriously considering making a booking on the XV. In terms of negotiating extras to go with the car, it's my understanding is that they won't be able to extend the warranty or servicing period, but are willing to throw in stuff like Solar Film, 2-Channel Camera, Front & Reverse Sensors.

Any advice on what should I be asking for during my negotiation? Much appreciated for your inputs.

Hi Alex,

Solar film is standard fare .. but please be aware that due to eyesight system, MI will install it on all windows except front windscreen and leave it to owners to risk no claim by insurers to fit it.

Cheers.

I simplity don't understand what is the ration behind of windscreen without solar film will deter one from buying car of their choice.

Just put on your favour shade ... and enjoy the ride...

Be cool about it

Hi, some freebies you can ask for are the usual items as what you have listed.  You can try for visors and boot lid protector which your SE may get them for you.  Other than that, there is really nothing critical that you cannot get from aftermarket.
