New Subaru XV

It is not really a number lock.

More of a morse-code lock - i.e. based on pattern of presses of one well-hidden button, rather than a number pad of many buttons.

Hence, most people don't know it exists.

Look at the car manual section 2-18 for details or look for Youtube demo which are easier to understand..

Don't use it myself but if you read earlier posts in this forum, seems to be popular with joggers as they can run without their car key (which they lock in the car together with their change of clothes etc.).

Thank you. So is our xv a 4 door or 5 door model?

Wonder if i go to Subaru to ask them help me set it up during servicing will they help anot.

I jog outside sometimes, so good that xv have this feature. Thanks for the heads up!

Side mirrors are more of a semi-auto fold as you still need to push a button before turning off the power to fold them.

Rear spoiler also comes as a standard.

Is it? I was at subaru for servicing and the mechanic told me the 2016 xv all came with auto fold, 2015 was a button to fold them, he ask me to top up S$150 to install the new feature.. i was like... i can press the button... its ok.

Crosstrek just some body kit costs around 1k++

They have the STi package which is also body kit some interior upgrades and strut bar costs around 5k.

I think boot space is about 300++litres.

Parts I usually get them from lesun auto things like filters cost is fine not too cheap or expensive.

No idea on the new xv 2.0.

The above are details for the current xv FL. The new launch may not be in sg until after June or August. Just a guess.

Lesun auto is an authorised stockist? I am looking for a stockist to get some parts but not sure if Lesun and JAE only stock common items. Will have to find time to call them.

A bit risky as you will be setting up your PIN at MI and not sure if they can see the PIN that you are keying in.

Perhaps try below Youtube instructions.  Have not tried these myself but they seem quite clear:

Note: The button, at the boot gate, to use for XV is the button on the right side (NOT the centre button).  Another words same as the Forester boot gate in the video.

I have tried Lesun before.  Very friendly service e.g. if write email to them they will respond.  They can even try to order from Japan things they don't carry in stock, but of course with delay for shipping.

However, Japan has some policy of not selling certain things to this region so found this out after they saw item in computer system from their Japan supplier, so said I could place order but when they tried to order, then found it was rejected.  I suppose these are things that need LTA approval for.

I think the staff at MI should be able to help you with the number combination lock. They demo this during the complementary familiarization session for new owners.

My XV is 2016. It has semi auto folding mirrors. Showroom model is also semi auto. Pressing the button is good enough for me too....just that sometimes I drive away with the mirrors still folded  [crazy]

So far buyers of Subaru xv, do you have regret about buying it, or it turned out to be a good/right choice?

Anyone got a good SE to recommend who is working in Motorimage? I find their SE very passive and not so interested to intro the cars to me when I was at their showrrom.

I'm interested to get the XV. Thanks.

Regretted not getting the Forester instead, at that point of time was 6k difference. However there are pros for XV too, lower petrol consumption due to smaller engine and lower road tax. Maintenance cost wise i think its about the same.

You can call James, bought my Mazda 3 from him before he went over to Subaru. 90027787, very trustworthy and patient guy.

Tell him Alvin recommend, the one change over from SkyActiv Mazda 3.

Mine 2016 Aug XV, did not come with autofold. Have to pay $150 to install the module, can use the points to offset part of the cost.

Base on current coe price. This should be a good price.

Don't worry about 8 bid non guaranteed, mi always get it once you signed on the dotted line.

Mine also get on first try when they say 8bid ng.

Seems like a good deal but also beware what they offer as trade-in value for your old car.

They just need to give you less a few hundred to a few thousand for your old car and they earn back all the "good deal" that they give you in above.

If this is your first car, then well done.
