Karebu 1st Gear December 16, 2011 Share December 16, 2011 (edited) Hello. I am on Sony head unit and speakers, JBL amp and subwoofer. Recently when driving sound on right side would go out suddenly. It can be resolved by cranking up the volume very high and back down to normal volume again. However the sound on right may go out again, randomly, on the right side after that. What may be spoilt? Fuse? or is it a spoiling head unit? Thanks Edited December 16, 2011 by Karebu ↡ Advertisement

LoverofCar 6th Gear December 16, 2011 Share December 16, 2011 Before you do anything...If you are a DIY person...Stretch your hand to the back of the head unit and push in the connection cable...sometime, it is just connection problem...happened to me before... Could it be the connection at the speaker loose?
Karebu 1st Gear December 17, 2011 Author Share December 17, 2011 Could it be the connection at the speaker loose? hmm. that needs quite a bit of dismantling to check. the sound when it goes out its right tweeter and right door out. rear right door still ok.. Just open the door panel and check the malfunctioning speaker will do!
Karebu 1st Gear December 17, 2011 Author Share December 17, 2011 its more of a malfunctioning side. when sound goes out its right front tweeter + speaker together. after a while it will come back to life. and die again.
Seanboi 1st Gear June 29, 2017 Share June 29, 2017 (edited) Hi, has any experienced TS problem before and successfully resolved it? I am facing the same problem but no amp installed. Happens when travelling over uneven roads. Checked HU connection seems ok. Have yet to open the door panel. Edited June 29, 2017 by Seanboi
carloverguy2017 5th Gear June 30, 2017 Share June 30, 2017 Well I believe it might not be the Amp or head unit. Its the poor quality of the speaker. The coil burn already Just my closest guess from past experience
Mustank Hypersonic June 30, 2017 Share June 30, 2017 Wire loose I anyhow say one
SheldonTan Neutral Newbie July 4, 2017 Share July 4, 2017 It's usually loose wire, there no moving parts in AMP and radio so it usually will last a long long time.
Watwheels Supersonic July 4, 2017 Share July 4, 2017 Rainwater do get to the speakers somehow. Last time my previous car I dismantle the door panel and see the rust on the magnets and part of the speaker. I think most cars will have the same issue after a while. My past ride also has the same issue. Must take out the panel and clean the connection. I prevented it with some blutac and tapes around the connection. bsfdfds Neutral Newbie April 2, 2022 Share April 2, 2022 A portable Bluetooth speaker can fill your car, boat, or patio with awesome sound. If you're ready to upgrade your car stereo but want to keep your options open, a portable speaker can be the answer. They're also a good choice if your car stereo isn't up to par or you don't want to bother with installing an amplifier. On the other hand, a portable speaker won't give you the same quality or volume as a full stereo system. If you're not looking to replace your existing stereo, a portable speaker is a great alternative. ↡ Advertisement
